Cantù, Meo Sacchetti grappling with a headache
Brianzoli in Trapani without Severini, on precautionary rest
On the eve of the Sicilian trip against 2B Control Trapani, which puts up for grabs the qualification to the Final Four of the A2 Series Supercup scheduled in Forlì on Sept. 23 and 24, Acqua San Bernardo Cantù coach Meo Sacchetti has to deal with a couple of absences, one of them purely precautionary: that of Giovanni Severini.
“We will evaluate Severini’s situation in the next few hours,” the former national team coach told the official channels of the Brianza club. “We chose not to risk him as a precaution in Turin due to an adductor strain.
The match on the Sicilian parquet will in any case be an important test in view of the championship: “On the opponent I can say little – specified Sacchetti, however -, we have seen some videos, but I think that at this moment of the season it is better to look more at what we do than at how they are. Something good we showed in the home of Reale Mutua, but there is still work to be done to improve at the team level. Long trip? Not a problem, because it will happen on several occasions during the season.”
