Jannik Sinner drastic about his season
Jannik Sinner’s words, “I’ve changed so much: it could have been better, but also much worse.”
Jannik Sinner in the press conference after the Davis Cup match he lost to Mikael Ymer took stock of his season: “We are changing a lot of things, serve and slice for example, and sometimes I make the wrong choice of when to take certain shots. So far this season could have been better but also much worse, I made quarters in all the Slams, lost with match points in Cincinnati and the Us Open. Physically we are working a lot, now it will be important to recover mentally because there are still important tournaments ahead.”
Lack of motivation weighed against the Swede: “When I go on the court, I try to do my best always and I still only think about winning. As for Davis, it was the least important match from a certain point of view that I played. Today I was tired mentally and physically. Mikael is a friend, he is a very good player, I think he has very good qualities, I wish him to express this same level of tennis in the next tournaments.”
