Official separation between the Grifone and the Ukrainian coach.

Genoa officially bids farewell to Andriy Shevchenko: the Ligurian club has announced the consensual termination of its contract with the Ukrainian coach, who led the Genoa team from the 12th to the 21st day in the last Serie A championship, then won by AC Milan, before being replaced by German coach Alexander Blessin.

“Genoa CFC announces that it has consensually terminated the contract between the club and Andriy Shevchenko,” reads the note from the Rossoblù club.

This year, Serie B started on the weekend between August 12 and 14, an early start due to the unprecedented “winter” World Cup that will be staged in Qatar from November 21 to December 18, 2022. However, if during this period the Serie A will stop, it will not be the same for the Serie Cadetta, which will continue on a regular basis, forcing clubs with players called up for the World Cup to have to forgo it for a few days.
