Lorenzo Sonego doesn’t stop against Korda: it’s semifinal in Metz
The Turin native defeated Korda in two sets
Lorenzo Sonego continues his progress at the Atp 250 tournament in Metz, France.
The Turin-based tennis player disposed of U.S. holder Sebastian Korda in two sets (6-4, 6-4).
The Italian was always ahead in the first set while in the second he had to catch up with his opponent, who had held all his service turns. After the break at 4-3, the Italian had the way down.
Sonego, number 67 in the Atp ranking, thus centers the semifinals of the French tournament, where he will face the winner of the match between France’s Arthur Rinderknech and Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz.
The term Atp refers to the association that brings together all professional male tennis players from all corners of the world. The Atp’s primary task is to protect the interests of the players and also to organize essential services, such as, for example, the drafting of the world ranking, called the Atp ranking, and the scheduling of tournaments.
