The Honda rider would not behave like Quartararo, Bagnaia and Espargaró

Honda rider Marc Marquez, spoke to the media present after the first day of free practice at the Motegi circuit, which will host the fifth-to-last round of the MotoGP.

The Spanish centaur dwelt on the three pretenders to the world championship title: Fabio Quartararo, Pecco Bagnaia and Aleix Espargaró.

“It reminds me a little of my battle with Andrea Dovizioso, I got along well, with smiles, but you could see the tension. The ‘buenrollismo’ that exists now is because they have not yet experienced a real melee, a melee on the last lap. It happened in Holland between Aleix Espargaró and Fabio Quartararo, but since he Aleix is back, the situation was a bit disguised, but they will know. When I’m in that situation, I play my cards differently,” confessed the eight-time world champion.

“The best mental warfare, as Doohan said, is on the track: if you beat them there they can dress how they want, but in the end they will be beaten. They are far from that level for me, but in my opinion it is difficult to see what cards are played by each of them. Pecco I see him convinced, Fabio knows they are coming from behind and it will be complicated, but he is getting more out of what he has, and Aleix is the one who has no pressure, which is a welcome problem, it takes all the pressure off because he is already doing well to be where he is,” concluded Marc Marquez.
