Ducati, Pecco Bagnaia: “The worst possible, it’s illogical.”
Ducati’s Bagnaia centaur commented on his 12th place finish in MotoGp qualifying in Japan
Ducati centaur Pecco Bagnaia does not hide his disappointment with his twelfth place in qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix. The wet track was the protagonist and heavily influenced the practice: “This year unfortunately both in Indonesia and here in Japan we did not go at all in the wet, we had a lot of difficulties. I don’t feel anything on the bike, it’s the worst feeling possible.”
“We have to work to understand what is going on – Bagnaia continued to Sky -. For sure a fourth practice session would have been very useful for me, however it must be said that the condition was the same for everyone. Fortunately, I was already in the top 10 at the end of Friday, otherwise I would have finished last in qualifying. I took two seconds off the fastest driver, it’s something out of all logic. We have to understand why this happened, I haven’t looked at the data yet, however, in my opinion our potential is much higher.”
However, Quartararo is just ahead on the grid, ninth, and in the dry it will be something else in any case: “Our potential is very high, we can also aim for victory or fight for the podium, I will try.”
