Hockenheim: tragic death of Langstadtler run over by another driver

Tragedy in Germany in the IDM, the German speed championship. Leon Langstädtler, a rider involved in Superbikes, lost his life in an accident at the Hockenheim circuit. It all happened in the first minutes of the second free practice. The 24-year-old, after falling, got up and was run over by another centaur’s motorcycle.
“Langstädtler received immediate medical attention. Despite the intensive efforts of the doctors, the 24-year-old ceased to live due to his injuries,” reads the note issued by the organizers.
Also present in Hockenheim was the unfortunate rider’s sister, Jessica, who competed in the Twin Cup 2022.
