Velvet debut for Mazzanti’s girls at women’s volleyball World Cup

Easy easy debut for Italvolley women’s volleyball at the ongoing World Volleyball Championships in Poland and the Netherlands: the Azzurre bowed in three sets with the eloquent partials of 25-10; 25-12; 25-16 to the Cameroon athletes.

The European champions were never in trouble and confirmed their status as competition favorites, downing the African champions with 17 points from Egonu, 11 from Bosetti, and 9 from Chirichella and Danesi.

Mazzanti’s team will take the court next Monday for their second commitment against Puerto Rico, and in the meantime they fly to the top of Group A along with the Netherlands and Belgium.
