Lorenzo Sonego’s feat in the Atp 250 in Metz. On the French concrete, the Piedmontese tennis player beat World No. 10 Hubert Hurkacz of Poland in two sets (7-6, 6-4), thus qualifying for the tournament final, scheduled for Sunday.

Sonego won on tie-break in the first set, while in the second partial he got the decisive break in the seventh game. He now awaits the winner of the match between Wawrinka and Bublik.

Thanks to this victory, the Italian indirectly did a favor for Jannik Sinner, who thanks to the Pole’s knockout re-enters the Top Ten (Hurkacz slips to 11th place in the Atp rankings).
