Name change in Bergamo

Bergamo’s Palazzetto dello Sport is changing its face and name: Volley Bergamo 1991 has announced that the home of red-blue challenges and more will be named Pala Intred.

Intred S.p.A., a telecommunications operator listed since July 2018 on the Euronext Growth Italia market of Borsa Italiana (symbol: ITD.MI), will have Bergamo’s Palazzetto dello Sport named after it for the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 seasons. The arena will have a new graphic design that will recall the company’s colors and logo and will be named Pala Intred. It will be the venue for sports and other events, such as volleyball, basketball, tennis, fencing, artistic gymnastics, historic motorcycle rallies, and concerts.

The naming of the arena after Intred is part of a path of attention to the world of sports in the city of Bergamo, also witnessed by the sponsorship of the women’s volleyball team Volley Bergamo 1991. With this operation, the company intends to testify to its commitment to the territory of Bergamo’s capital city, where it is already present and expanding with its connectivity infrastructure.

“We are honored to be able to support the Volley Bergamo 1991 team, a historic excellence of Bergamo volleyball, a territory that falls within our area of expertise and to which we are very close. Volleyball is a noble sport, where commitment and professionalism are the pillars of success, values that we fully share and have helped us become the company we are. In addition, this year thanks also to the arena completely branded by Intred, the Company wants to mark its closeness with the territory, to the development of technologies and the attention of the different initiatives not only sports that can involve all the actors that are part of it,” said Daniele Peli, president and CEO of Intred.
