Valentino Rossi will race the final round of GTWC Europe in Barcelona: podium finish is the goal

The Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe has reached its last round in 2022: the Endurance Cup title will be awarded in Barcelona, which sees the Mercedes trio of Marciello-Gounon-Juncadella ahead of everyone in the standings, followed by the Ferrari trio composed of Serra-Rigon-Fuoco.

Ahead of the 3-hour race at the Montmelo track, there can only be great anticipation also for Valentino Rossi, who returns behind the wheel of the Audi WRT for the last round of the season. The Tavullia driver’s goal is to hit that podium finish he has failed to achieve so far, although he will have to contend with 50 other cars: teammates Frédéric Vervisch and Nico Müller will be there to back him up. It will be the last race with Audi cars for the WRT team: the start on Sunday at 2:45 p.m.
