What initially appeared to be an English-only project could now become an event that would also covene Italy, Spain, and Germany.

The Times has speculated what the top 11 from the four major leagues might be as of today:

Premier League: Allison; James, Ruben Dias, Thiago Silva, Zinchenko; De Bruyne, Rice, Rodri; Salah, Haaland, Luis Diaz.

Serie A: Maignan; Di Lorenzo, Skriniar, Bremer, Spinazzola; Brozovic, Milinkovic-Savic; Chiesa, Dybala, Leao; Osimhen.

La Liga: Courtois; Koundé, Militao, Gimenez, Alaba; Modric, Busquets, Pedri; Benzema, Lewandowski, Vinicius.

Bundesliga: Sommer; Frimpong, De Ligt, Gvardiol, Davies; Kimmich, Bellingham; Gnabry, Musiala, Mané; Nkunku.
