Boston Celtics: Robert Williams III breaks through the basket, but it’s not enough
Milwaukee also falls, which, without Giannis Antetokounmpo, succumbs at home against the Washington Wizards
On a night when two of the Eastern Conference’s most credited forces-the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks-lose to Nikola Jokic’s Denver Nuggets and the revitalized Washington Wizards, driven to their fifth straight win, respectively-there is also room for a curious episode, which happened right at the Colorado city’s Ball Arena, the scene of the match between the Nuggets and the Massachusetts roster.
In the fourth quarter, with the game already headed in Denver’s favor, Boston center Robert Williams III made a dunk that sent the basket off its axis, forcing the technicals to intervene and causing a break of no less than 35′ in the course of the game. The stoppage did not serve to cool the hand of the Nuggets’ shooters, however, who finished with an excellent 57 percent from the field, showcasing the usually outstanding Nikola Jovic, who posted a triple-double of 30 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists.
