Croatian midfielder forced to miss Naples due to muscle problem

New stop for Marcelo Brozovic: Inter Milan’s Croatian midfielder, returning after the World Cup break, was forced to stop due to a muscle problem that will force him to miss the match against Napoli.

“Marcelo Brozovic underwent clinical-instrumental examinations today at the Istituto Humanitas in Rozzano after a muscle soreness in his left leg,” is Inter’s statement. “The examinations showed a small muscle distraction in the left soleus. His condition will be re-evaluated in the coming days.”

Brozovic will be forced to miss the league resumption against Napoli. The stop will be 15 days: he will also forfeit for Monza, Parma (Coppa Italia) and Verona and could return for the Super Cup derby against AC Milan on Jan. 18. In the role of director in the upcoming matches Calhanoglu will play.
