The death of Ken Block, who died at age 55 following a snowmobile accident, has shocked the motorsport world.

Lewis Hamilton, friend and fellow sponsor of the legendary American, broke his silence by dedicating his first thought to him on Instagram this 2023.

“I took a break from social media to focus on myself and my well-being. Today, however, I received the news of the death of a dear friend – Hamilton’s words posted in a story – I am devastated by the death of Ken Block. He was a wonderful person who always lived life to the fullest. I still remember the first time we worked together, the positivity he exuded was contagious. He really had great talent behind the wheel. A few years ago we spent memorable days heli-skiing and snowboarding in Canada. We had a deep respect for each other. He will be truly missed by all, my prayers and thoughts now are with his beautiful family. He is gone too soon. Rest in peace Ken.”
