Sassuolo and Sampdoria will face each other at the Mapei Stadium in the match valid for the 16th day of the Serie A soccer championship: Alessio Dionisi’s men will host Dejan Stankovic’s men in the 12:30 lunch-match. Both teams are coming off a defeat on the last day of 2022: against Bologna and Lecce, respectively.
No lineup changes for the neroverdi coach, who will be able to fully rely on the returning Domenico Berardi. A few doubts, especially in defense, where Erlic, Ahyan, Rogerio and Kyriakopoulos will play two places in the starting lineup.
The former Inter player, on the other hand, will have to do without the disqualified Djuricic and seems intent on deploying, paired with Gabbiadini, the very young 2003 class striker Daiele Montevago. Stankovic will not be able to count on Francesco Caputo, who returned to Empoli, and several injured players but will most likely make the debut of former Udinese player Nuytinck.
