Both Pisa and Frosinone are probing the market in search of a striker to gift to their respective coaches during the winter soccer market window that opened Jan. 2.

There could be a market duel between the Tuscans and the Ciociari for the purchase of Benevento center forward Francesco Forte. The player, at Benevento since 2022, is coming off a first part of the season in which, in the 18 games in which he took the field, he scored three goals and served one assist for teammates.

For the 1993 class former Venezia and Juve Stabia among others, there had also been interest from another club aiming for direct promotion to Serie A: Reggina. The Calabrians, however, after an initial survey, broke off contact with the Campania club.

At the moment it seems more forward the current cadetteria leader, which has already gone beyond the simple interest expressed by Pisa, but in the coming days could increase the push of the Tuscans to get to Forte.
