Sofia Goggia broken: “Every morning I wake up with so much pain.”
During the interview granted to Corriere della Sera, Sofia Goggia updated her fans on her injured hand: “Every morning I wake up with so much pain, I took a big hit. We will see how it goes in the coming days on skis, holding the pole will be challenging. I don’t know if I have taken or given more to the sport, I will do the count at the end. I am quite proud of my achievements, though, despite having shed tears and blood.”
The Bergamasque then moved on to love matters: “I’m not engaged and I’m not thinking about starting a family because I know what I want from the next four years. Then life is unpredictable and takes particular turns both good and bad. I’ve been living between hotels since I was 15 years old, changing places every 3 or 4 days with my suitcase always in the car, I feel like a bit of a nomad to be honest. Thinking about living with one person for life I don’t think it’s for me.”
Goggia also spoke on the big topic of climate change: “The situation seen from the mountains is alarming. Some studies compare global pollution to a full bathtub: the problem is not only to turn off the taps but also to drain the water. I am going to the Fassa Valley and it rains there too. However, this season I’ve also experienced cold weather that I’ve never felt before in North America-we’ve spent weeks in -25 degrees.”
