Orlando was coming off three straight losses. This was the 14th win of the season, compared with 24 losses (10-11 home record). In the night’s other contests, of note were Brooklyn’s stop, beaten by Chicago (121-112, despite 44 points from Durant), the LA Lakers’ victory, without James and Davis, over Miami (112-109), and Milwaukee’s hard-fought victory, after an overtime, over Toronto (104-101).
