Still starring. Italian-American Banchero shined in the challenge between Orlando and OKC. The first pick of the last NBA Draft put up an impressive 25 points, to which he added eight rebounds and seven assists, contributing to the Magic’s 126-115 victory.
Orlando was coming off three straight losses. This was the 14th win of the season, compared with 24 losses (10-11 home record). In the night’s other contests, of note were Brooklyn’s stop, beaten by Chicago (121-112, despite 44 points from Durant), the LA Lakers’ victory, without James and Davis, over Miami (112-109), and Milwaukee’s hard-fought victory, after an overtime, over Toronto (104-101).
