NFL, Damar Hamlin: good news from latest bulletin.
Encouraging words published by the Buffalo Bills on Damar Hamlin’s condition
Encouraging news is coming in, although the worst is not yet behind us, regarding the condition of Damar Hamlin, the 24-year-old Buffalo Bills player who collapsed on the field Monday following a collision of play and was hospitalized in serious condition after several minutes of cardiac massage right on the grounds of Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati.
“Per physicians caring for Damar Hamlin at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Damar has shown remarkable improvement over the past 24 hours,” reads a note released by the Bills through their official channels on Thursday. “Although he remains in critical condition, he would be neurologically intact. His lungs are continuing the healing process, progress is steady.”
“We are grateful for the affection and support we are receiving,” concluded the Bills, on whose recovery of the match against the Cincinnati Bengals, which was interrupted after Hamlin’s injury, is beginning to be reasoned about precisely in light of the positive news coming from the hospital. It is not ruled out, however, that for calendar reasons the match could be declared a null and void, with the awarding of a forfeited tie, given the compression of the NFL calendar.
