Al Nassr cuts Masharipov to make room for Cristiano Ronaldo
At the moment, the Portuguese would not yet have been signed on.
Incredible but true. Rumors are filtering in from Saudi Arabia that Cristiano Ronaldo, who has already been unveiled as Al Nassr’s new star, has actually not yet been officially signed by the Saudi club. The reason? There are already eight foreigners in the roster, which is the maximum limit allowed by the Saudi Pro League regulations.
Almost certainly, to make way for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, Masharipov will be dismissed. The Uzbek national will be “sacrificed” to make up the slot needed to sign CR7, who, by the way, must also serve the two rounds of disqualification he got during his negative experience at Manchester United. His debut with Al Nassr is set for next Jan. 21. In short, the club has plenty of time to find him a place in the team.
