Cristiano Ronaldo could have ended up in Brazil: the revelation
Cristiano Ronaldo, one club reveals, “We tried to buy him”
Interviewed by TV Bandeirantes, Corinthians president Duílio Monteiro Alves revealed, “We made a proposal a long time ago, when the confusion started in Manchester. I also talked to Jorge Mendes a couple of times and then to someone else. I made the proposal but there were so many teams on Cristiano Ronaldo: everyone would like a phenomenon like him.”
“We made a proposal for a salary equal to what he had at Manchester United, two years on his contract, which is not little for a player of his age, and it was all doable with the help of sponsors. But the proposal that came from Al-Nassr was 20 times bigger,” Duílio Monteiro Alves concluded.
Cristiano Ronaldo is among the strongest soccer players ever. He was born in Funchal on February 5, 1985. He grew up in Sporting Lisbon, then in 2003 he was bought by Manchester United. The Portuguese moved to Real Madrid in 2009, while in 2018 he signed for Juventus. In 2021 he returned to Manchester United but things did not go well and he subsequently moved to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
