Genoa, a return to defense looms
Possible return to defense for Genoa’s Gilardino
Genoa management is working to reinforce Alberto Gilardino’s squad. The department most in need of market intervention is definitely the defense, but not only on the flank, to find a player who can give Criscito a breather.
The latest name that seems to have ended up on the Rossoblù radar in fact is that of former Sassuolo, Palermo and Frosinone among others, currently owned by Cagliari, Edoardo Goldaniga. That of the Milanese class of 1993 would be a return to the Ligurian capital, after a two-year experience with the Grifone shirt, between the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons.
The defender’s contract with the island club will expire in June 2024, but the Sardinian club could decide to let him leave for a sum that would be around €1 million.
