Serbian tennis player takes down Medvedev, now challenges Korda for title in Adelaide
Final number 131 in his career for Novak Djokovic, who makes it to the last act in Adelaide after overcoming Russian Daniil Medvedev in the semifinals with scores of 6-3, 6-4.
Nole, who has not lost a match in Australia since 2018 (33 straight wins), also overcame a muscle problem in one leg. On Sunday he will face for the title the U.S. Sebastian Korda, who beat Japan’s Yoshihito Nishioka, who was forced to retire in the second set.
Djokovic downplayed the leg problem: “Nothing serious, otherwise I would have withdrawn,” he told Sky.
