Chelsea’s touching farewell to Gianluca Vialli

During the warm-up before the FA Cup match between Chelsea and Manchester City, the Blues players took to the pitch in a special shirt in honor of Gianluca Vialli. All players wore a wetsuit with the number 9. A minute’s silence was also observed before kickoff.

Vialli played for Chelsea from 1996 to 1999, collecting 58 appearances and 21 goals. He also served as player manager between 1998 and 2000. He also won several trophies with the English club and has remained in the hearts of fans: in recent days many people have deposited flowers near the giant picture displayed outside the stadium.
