The 12:30 match of the 17th day of Serie A between Salernitana and Torino ended 1-1. The guests dominated the first half and took the lead in the 36th minute through a goal by Sanabria, who took advantage of a distraction in the Campania defense. The hosts’ goalkeeper Ochoa limited the deficit.
In the second half, Salernitana found the equalizer in the 50th minute through Vilhena on a counterattack, then withstood Toro’s assaults, thanks in part to a resounding Ochoa, author of other great saves on Miranchuk and Rodriguez (helped by the post).
In the standings Torino tenth at 23 points, Salernitana 14th at 18.
