Milan, Stefano Pioli stymied: “Let’s stop talking about it.”
Pioli stymied after comeback suffered by Roma
AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli spoke to Dazn’s microphones after the draw against Roma, which came back into the game with two goals scored starting in the 85th minute, after Milan had taken a double lead with goals from Kalulu and Pobega.
The Rossoneri coach expressed all his regret for not getting the full stake: “We gave away a corner and then the last minutes were frantic and less lucid. It’s a shame about the performance we put in, but it will teach us to stay more focused in the next games. It was not an attitude problem; if we talk about will and spirit we are second to none. Strangely enough, we conceded two goals on loose balls when we had more cm on the field; I reviewed the actions of the goals, but there were mistakes in marking, not on placements.”
“I would stop talking about contracts and injuries and just talk about the games. I see happy and contented guys who always give their best, that’s the important thing,” the former coach of Inter and Fiorentina among others continued with a bit of a sting.
Finally, a comment on the change of module adopted in the last minutes of the match: “I don’t think we lost points for the three-man defense. It may be that I will reintroduce it.”
