Inter, sigh of relief for Barella and Calhanoglu
Good news for Barella and Calhanoglu
Simone Inzaghi can breathe a big sigh of relief. Both Nicolò Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu underwent instrumental examinations that averted any muscle injury after their forced stoppage in the last league round with Monza, which ended in a mocking draw.
For both Nerazzurri midfielders, it is only a slight muscle soreness: to the adductor for the blue player and to the ileo-psoas for the Turkish player. Barella and Calha will definitely not be available for the Coppa Italia match against Parma this evening, but there is a good chance that the two Inter players will recover for the next Serie A match, scheduled for Saturday, January 14 at 8:45 p.m. against Verona at the San Siro. In any case, coach Inzaghi’s goal is to have them back for Wednesday, January 18 when the Nerazzurri take on AC Milan in the Italian Super Cup final, scheduled in Riyadh at 8 p.m. Italian time.
