Lorenzo Musetti present at Australian Open

Lorenzo Musetti will be there at the Australian Open. The Italian underwent instrumental examinations following the shoulder injury suffered in the United Cup final match against U.S. Francis Tiafoe that forced him to leave the match after losing the first partial 6-2.

The result of the MRI is negative: for Lorenzo it is only a shoulder inflammation. The 20-year-old from Carrara will thus be able to start the upcoming Australian Open, scheduled to begin on Monday, January 16. Musetti, fresh from his best ranking – as of Monday, January 9, he is number 19 in the world – will be seeded in Melbourne and said, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, “In Australia I have lived beautiful moments. I am happy to start from here. I want to improve again and get closer to the top 10.”
