A former Fiorentina man could return to A

The January soccer market is getting into full swing, with several clubs scrambling to find the most suitable reinforcements for their respective rosters and coaches.

Among the latest market news is certainly the one concerning a former Fiorentina player, who seems close to making a return to Serie A after two years: it is 1997 class fullback Pol Lirola. The defender, who is owned by Marseille but currently plays on loan in the ranks of Spanish side Elche, would gladly return to Italy after his experiences with the viola but also with Sassuolo between the 2016 and 2019 seasons.

The club interested in the Spaniard would be Monza, where Lirola could play the place on the right flank with Ciurria and Birindelli. The Iberian club would have already given the green light for the player to return to France so that he could then be sold.

The 1997 class in La Liga is having a decent season in which he also scored a goal, but without managing to find great continuity in the ranks of Elche coach Jorge Almiron.
