Lazio, Sarri explodes in press conference: new outburst

Lazio coach stymied: “I picked up a management that had collected only a fourth place finish, now it looks like a drama”

Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri in a press conference gets testy after a question, “Champions League access? We are fifth, but now it seems like a drama. This situation pisses me off, I picked up a management that had collected only a fourth place. Just as in the last 10 years in Lazio’s history there are not so many Champions League qualifiers.”

The biancoceleste coach then thanked Spalletti for the compliments: “He says that in Naples they remember more the years with me on the bench than those with Benitez? I was pleased with his words, but I think in a few years they will talk more about Spalletti….”

On the team’s blackouts: “Difficult to understand them, we manage to play on physical tiredness, in the final instead we become passive from a mental point of view. The guys have to get all the disturbing thoughts off their chests, by doing so we can improve a lot.”
