Sofia Goggia: reassuring condition after fall
Sofia Goggia fell during the SuperG in St.Anton
Unlucky Saturday for Sofia Goggia, who fell during the SuperG in St.Anton, valid for the World Cup. The Bergamo-born skier, who was ahead of Federica Brignone at the second intermediate, then winner of the race, fell disastrously after a right turn, slipping into the protective nets.
The deputy Olympic downhill champion, who underwent surgery a few weeks ago on her hand after a fall, got up immediately, however, and arrived at the finish line on her own skis, congratulating Brignone on her victory.
The Azzurra immediately after the impact had made some reassuring gestures, and there do not seem to be any particular consequences for the Bergamasque, who is expected to participate regularly in the second SuperG of the weekend on Sunday.
