The punishment handed down by the Aragonese Football Federation’s Basic Football Competitions Committee has the unbelievable: a 12-year-old footballer has been disqualified for 25 matches. The facts date back to December 17 during the match between Alfindén EFB Club and Cristo Rey.
The athlete received 4 days of disqualification for assaulting an opponent when the game was stopped, 15 for continuing to assault other opponents, and 6 for insulting the referee. Total: 25 games of disqualification. In addition, the Alfindén EFB field will be closed for the next three official matches and the club will be penalized 2 points in the standings. The management will also have to pay a €400 fine.
