The Swedish striker will not only not leave with the rest of the team for Lecce but is still struggling with pain in his left knee, which was operated on last May, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The current situation does not allow him to force or increase loads. Impossible at this point to imagine his use in the Super Cup derby but also in the next league one, scheduled for Feb. 5. Two weeks later it will already be Champions League time against Tottenham.
At 41, Ibra is doing everything he can to return but the situation remains complex.
