Likely lineups

Sunday evening’s Serie A Week 18 post-match will be played at the Stadio Olimpico between Roma and Fiorentina. The hosts are coming from the draw grabbed in extremis against AC Milan and in the week they have detached the pass for the quarterfinals of the Coppa Italia, while the Viola are coming from two consecutive victories, a streak that the Italian team intends to extend.

Jose Mourinho will have to do without Nicolò Zaniolo, who was expected to start but was not called up due to a flu bug. Pellegrini will therefore be advanced alongside Paulo Dybala and both Matic and Cristante should play in the middle of the field. Ibañez is also likely to be benched and Kumbulla will play instead of the Brazilian.

Among the Fiorentina ranks, the return among the starters of Amrabat, back from a great World Cup, is very likely. Instead of the injured Cabral, who will be in the pits for some time, Vincenzo Italiano will instead field Luka Jovic.

Probable formations

ROME (3-4-2-1): Rui Patricio; Mancini, Smalling, Kumbulla; Celik, Cristante, Matic, Zalewski; Dybala, Pellegrini; Abraham. Coach: José Mourinho

FIORENTINA (4-2-3-1): Terracciano; Dodo, Milenkovic, Igor, Biraghi; Amrabat, Duncan; Ikoné, Bonaventura, Kouamé; Jovic. Coach: Vincenzo Italiano
