Likely lineups

On the evening of Monday, January 16, the postponement of the 20th day of the Serie B championship will be played: Alberto Gilardino’s Genoa, third in the standings and on the upswing, and Venice, second-to-last in the class, will face each other at the Ferraris.

The Grifone is ready to launch the assault on the second position after the defeat suffered by Reggina against Spal. For this, the Rossoblù coach will rely on the typical formation, with the addition of Domenico Criscito: in fact, the former Toronto man is ready to make his season debut in Serie B with the Rossoblù jersey, after playing in the Coppa Italia against Roma.

Paolo Vanoli is also expected to opt for a classic 3-5-2, with the Veneto side wanting at all costs to score a victory to move out of the relegation zone: with three points, in fact, the orange-blacks would move into 16th position on a par with Spal and Benevento.

Probable formations

GENOA (4-3-2-1): Semper; Hefti, Bani, Dragusin, Criscito; Jagiello, Strootman, Frendrup; Aramu, Gudmundsson; Coda. Coach: Alberto Gilardino

VENICE (3-5-2): Joronen; Wisniewski, Ceccaroni, Ceppitelli; Zampano, Crnigoj, Jajalo, Tessmann, Haps; Pohjampalo, Johnsen. Coach: Paolo Vanoli.
