Bad news from the infirmary for Ivan Juric
The midfielder had been forced out at halftime of Torino-Spezia
From the stars to the stables. In just a few days, Ivan Juric’s Torino went from the great satisfaction of the San Siro feat against AC Milan – accomplished, moreover, by playing in 10 for more than 50′ – to the unexpected home defeat against Spezia in the league.
The match at the ‘Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino’ had also been marked by the early exit from the field of Saša Lukic, one of the best players at the Croatian coach’s disposal. There was expectation for the examinations to which the midfielder would undergo on Tuesday: Torino issued an official note giving evidence of the extent of the injury.
“Lukic underwent instrumental investigations that showed elongative trauma at the level of the right posterior thigh. The player immediately started the appropriate therapies and will be re-evaluated clinically in the coming days,” it reads. The Serbian will certainly miss the two league trips to Tuscany against Fiorentina and Empoli, but will do his best to return ahead of the Coppa Italia quarterfinals, also against the Viola, on Feb. 1.
