MotoGp, Yamaha: Franco Morbidelli makes a fresh start
Franco Morbidelli: “Let’s start from scratch.”
Speaking on the sidelines of the presentation of the design of the new M1 that will take part in the 2023 MotoGp World Championship, Franco Morbidelli said he has a great desire for redemption after two seasons to forget.
“With this new livery we are starting all over again and in fact we are all starting from scratch, everything is possible and this prospect excites me,” said the 28-year-old native of Rome, who was runner-up in 2020 behind Joan Mir.
“I ended 2022 with two good results and a little more confidence, now we have to do a good job in preseason testing and get ready for the first round of the World Championship in Portugal,” Morbidelli added. “There is a new race format (the Sprint Race on Saturday, ed.) that will require a minimum of adaptation. What do I think about it? I try to see the positive sides of it, this change will please the public and their cheering gives us the charge.”
