Lazio, suggestion from Real Madrid for deputy Immobile
Immobile injured against Sassuolo
Lazio is preparing to have to do without Ciro Immobile for a period of time that will last at least 20 days, following the injury sustained by the Biancocelesti number 17 in the match against Sassuolo.
The captain is not expected to return before the match scheduled for Feb. 11 at the Stadio Olimpico against Atalanta, so the Capitoline management is looking around to find an alternative to the Azzurri striker who is going through a difficult season where he has nonetheless already scored 7 goals.
The first names circulated were those of Torino and Salernitana players Antonio Sanabria and Federico Bonazzoli. Neither option, however, fully convinces Sarri and in the last hours a very suggestive possibility has emerged: the target for Lazio’s attack could become Real Madrid-owned striker Mariano Diaz.
The 1993 class from the Blancos has a contract expiring in June 2023 and could decide to seek his fortune away from Spain, given the scarce minutes he is given by Carlo Ancelotti.
