Lucrezia Stefanini leaves Australian Open in pain
Stefanini out
Lucrezia Stefanini’s fine adventure at the Australian Open being held in Melbourne has come to an end. The Tuscan tennis player, No. 141 in the world, who won her first career match in a Slam on Wednesday, was eliminated by Varvara Gracheva, No. 97 WTA, in two sets (6-3, 6-1).
Lucrezia, in her match with the Muscovite, was also affected by a problem with her left thigh, which was conspicuously bandaged in the second set during a medical time out.
