There is no stopping the awareness campaign against violence against women that the Lega Serie B carries out on the fields thanks to the twenty clubs and together with the Department of Public Security – Central Directorate of Criminal Police and the Organismo Congressuale Forense. A commitment that is always topical also in light of the reports of the Ministry of the Interior that tell of a phenomenon with numbers that are still too high and the recent cases of feminicide that have appeared in the national news. This is why during the 21st day of Serie BKT, scheduled for next weekend, the B League has organized a series of initiatives to, as President Mauro Balata explains, “Do not lower your guard and through the extraordinary vehicle of communication that is soccer to send messages to public opinion so that this heinous crime, which represents a violation of human rights, is definitively eradicated from our society. I thank the Forensic Congressional Body and the Department of Public Security Central Directorate of Criminal Police, which has always been in the front line to professionally combat the phenomenon, for their attention in supporting our initiatives.”
Players of the two teams during the pre-match ceremonial will wear a red ribbon on their wrists while the words No to violence against women with the hashtag #BASTA will appear on the sideline LEDs, echoing the campaign launched in the 14th round, when a special red ball was played on the occasion of the international day of Nov. 25 and accompanied by various initiatives in support.
