Genoa dreams of a reinforcement on the wing: it’s a former Serie A player
Grifone dreams of a reinforcement on the wing
Genoa’s management is continuing to make assessments in the market to deliver Gilardino the best squad to be able to aim for Serie A. The Rossoblù team currently occupies third place in Serie B, tied on points with Filippo Inzaghi’s Reggina and minus six from leading Frosinone.
To continue in the run-up to the ciociari, the Grifone is looking for new profiles for the side, with some names reportedly already surfacing. The latest idea is one that would lead to former Roma and Parma player Gervinho, currently with Greek side Aris Thessaloniki, which would release him for a fee of around half a million euros.
The Ivorian, who has already played for six seasons in Italy, could be an important weapon to unhinge opposing defenses with his great speed. The player, however, is not only sought by Genoa: in fact, several MLS, UAE and European clubs have also inquired about the 1987 class. Among others, Cremonese also reportedly made a survey for Gervinho.
