Henry, season over: Genoa and Torino switch targets
The Hellas Verona player has finished the season
Season over for Thomas Henry: the Hellas Verona player suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament during the match against Lecce, later won 2-0 by the Venetian team.
“Hellas Verona FC announces that the instrumental examinations to which the player Thomas Henry underwent today in Lyon, by Professor Sonnery Cottet, showed the rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee. The ligament reconstruction surgery, which will be performed in Lyon by Professor Cottet, is scheduled for the morning of Wednesday, January 25,” reads the note released by the Gialloblù club.
The expected recovery time is expected to be around 6 to 7 months. So Genoa and Torino, who had considered signing the ex-Venice forward, will inevitably have to turn to other targets.
