Jannik Sinner extolled by Mouratoglu: “He hits the ball amazingly.”
Mouratoglu enjoyed the challenge between Sinner and Tsitsipas.
Jannik Sinner, on the day of Sunday, January 22, was eliminated from the Australian Open by Stefanos Tsitsipas. The South Tyrolean, however, put up a convincing performance, collecting compliments from French coach Patrick Mouratoglu, who particularly enjoyed the challenge between the South Tyrolean and the Greek.
“Great display of modern tennis from Jannik Sinner and Stefanos Tsitsipas. Entrabi hit the ball incredibly well, staying as close as possible to the baseline with the aim of making the point and taking advantage of the whole length of the court. Great serves, short balls and net game,” commented the former coach of Serena Williams among others.
Jannik Sinner at the Australian Open 2023 reached the round of 16 at a Slam for the eighth time in 13 appearances. The one against Tsitsipas was also the sixth consecutive eighth at a Major tournament for the South Tyrolean.
