Max Verstappen won the first World Championship GP in Bahrain,

The reigning world champion dominated the race from start to finish, completing the Red Bull one-two with Sergio Perez who, after a forgettable start, took back second place with an impressive race pace.

Finale to forget for Charles Leclerc who while driving serenely in third had to retire due to a sudden drop in power of his Ferrari. His teammate Carlos Sainz, fourth, was unable to take advantage, overtaken by an amazing Fernando Alonso in an Aston Martin. Lewis Hamilton, after suffering a masterful overtake right from the Asturian, had to settle for fifth place.
