Champions, AC Milan: Olivier Giroud and Brahim Diaz worry Stefano Pioli
Giroud and Brahim Diaz in doubt for Tottenham-Milan
Stefano Pioli is grappling with two major doubts ahead of Milan’s Champions League round of 16 return match, which they will play at home to Tottenham on Wednesday night: Olivier Giroud is in fact blocked by flu-like symptoms, while Brahim Diaz trained separately again due to the knee problem that had already kept him out of the league match against Fiorentina.
Milan will be busy, in London, defending the 1-0 win obtained at the San Siro last February 14, the result of a goal scored by Brahim Diaz. The Spaniard’s condition will be definitively evaluated on Tuesday, after the Rossoneri’s final training session before departure.
As for Giroud, however, his very presence in Milanello on Tuesday is in doubt: in case of the Frenchman’s absence, Pioli will rely on Origi or Rebic as the central offensive pivot.
