Sassuolo wins it in the recovery: what a mockery for Cremonese
Sassuolo-Cremonese 3-2
Sassuolo beat Cremonese 3-2 practically at the last gasp in the 25th Serie A match the two teams played Monday at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia.
The one between the neroverdi and grigiorossi was a game with two faces: Sassuolo dominated the first half and went ahead by two goals, scored respectively in the 26th minute by Laurienté from a free kick and in the 41st minute by Frattesi at the end of a quick restart.
Ballardini’s team, however, did not lose heart and made a comeback in the second half, with Dessers playing a leading role: the Nigerian national first shortened the gap in the 62nd minute, passing Consigli with a diagonal left-footed shot, then scored the equalizing goal in the 83rd minute, dribbling past the opponent’s goalkeeper and depositing into the net with an empty goal.
Instead, when everything seemed to point to the final equalizer, Bajrami’s flick, in the 92nd minute, came to decide the match: the Albanian’s first-time shot, on an assist from Laurienté, left Carnesecchi with no hope and the three points, crucial in terms of salvation, went to Sassuolo.
