Eddie Jordan has no doubts about Red Bull’s future
Eddie Jordan’s words
Eddie Jordan, interviewed by OBLG, has no doubts about Red Bull’s future: “There is no chance that Perez will be replaced by Ricciardo.”
“Checo is a darling of that team: he is a very good opponent for Max. He is strong, and he can also win when the opportunity presents itself. There has been some tension between the two of them, but coming second in the championship is a different matter. The most important thing for Red Bull is continuity, and they won’t want to change that. Ricciardo has been there before and he knows that he doesn’t have to get special treatment, he knows how the team works, the same people are there – Christian Horner and Adrian Newey. They are the key people in that team, Daniel knows them well, but it should be the result of a driver who is not able to participate, but that he is there just to fire Checo I don’t see that at all.”
It was Sebastian Vettel who was the first driver to win a world championship with Red Bull. The German put everyone in line for four years in a row, from 2010 to 2013. The Austrian stable returned to success in 2021 thanks to Dutchman Max Verstappen, with the son of art repeating the following year. If there was a battle to the last in 2021, that was not the case in 2022.
