Genoa, Federico Accornero: “indescribable emotion.”

The victory with Cosenza, which allowed Genoa to move back to second place in the standings, is now in the archives of the 2022/23 Serie B season, but the match against the Silani will remain well etched in the mind of Federico Accornero, a 2004-class striker who made his professional debut on Monday night.

“It was an indescribable emotion. I worked hard for this moment and finally my dream came true. It was an incredible feeling to make my debut in this jersey in front of our fans. Now we have to continue like this and try to get as many points as possible until the end of the season,” these are the words of the red and blue’s Primavera top scorer on his social profiles.

Accornero is just the latest of the Rossoblù “canterani” launched by coach Alberto Gilardino, who has expressed his appreciation for the player already in the past, when the 2006 world champion coached the Primavera.
