Lasted only 15 months, the Argentine technician’s experience in Caracas
Venezuela and Jose Pekerman have decided to part ways after just 15 months. The Argentine coach, as reported by the Caracas Federation, has left his post as technical commissioner of the ‘vinotinto’ national team.
Pekerman had arrived in 2021 with the goal of gaining the first historic World Cup qualification for Venezuela, the only selection in South America to have never managed to snatch a pass to the World Cup.
However, the 73-year-old Pekerman in the last four days of qualification for Qatar 2022 had scored just one point, failing in his mission.
